Kids Fishing

Texas Trophy Catfish Association believes in getting kids outdoors and close to nature. TXTCA hosts Kids Fish Fest and Casey for Casey and since obtaining our 501(c)3 Non-Profit status in June of 2018, we have taught 4,183 children how to fish! At our fishing events we teach patience and respect for nature, angler safety and etiquette, the importance of conservation, knot tying, fish identification, recycling, how to bait a hook, how to cast; and have a rejuvenation tank set up for children to see trophy Catfish up close and personal before witnessing a tagging demonstration and their safe release.

Kids Fish Fest is held a few times a year with all fishing equipment provided for the day. Due to COVID-19 and county guidelines all Kids Fish Fest bank fishing events have been cancelled to date. We look forward to see everyone again next year!

Casting for Casey is our free fishing event for families with special needs. While COVID has prevented us from hosting a bank fishing event, we will be sending families out on boats for private 2-hour fishing trips!
