Kids Fish Fest is a free kids fishing event hosted by Texas Trophy Catfish Association. Since obtaining our 501(c)3 Non-Profit status in June of 2018, we have taught 4,183 children how to fish. Here we teach angler safety and etiquette, patience, respect, knot tying, fish identification, casting, baiting, fishing, recycling, and conservation. What sets us apart from other fishing events is our rejuvenation tank! Volunteer anglers fish overnight prior to each event to catch trophies for our rejuvenation tank! The fish are kept shaded in the oxygenated tank for the children to see up close and personal before witnessing a tagging demonstration and their safe release.

The our loyal volunteers are Certified Angler Education Instructors with Texas Parks and Wildlife, have undergone a background check, and majority have First Aid/CPR, and/or medical training. Our partnership with the Lion's Club has been nothing short of amazing when we take our organization power and will to serve to the water!
